Endless T2.5 PU timing belt with connection

Continuously mounted belts, also called welded timing belts
The thermoplastic PU material used to manufacture PU timing belts can be welded together to form an endless timing belt. Depending on the timing belt profile, a finger-jointed connection is 80 or 120 mm long and can achieve a tensile strength of up to 60% of that of an endless timing belt without a joint.
Welding an open toothed belt (meter length) creates an endless toothed belt of any desired length. Applications include conveyor systems and convectors, with and without drive pins, as well as material handling and long-distance light transmission. Read more about the tensile strength of the various toothed belts in the catalog further down the page.

PU timing belts are made of polyurethane, which has high abrasion resistance. The different types of ropes used in the belt ensure varying tensile strengths, regardless of the application.
T2.5 polyurethane timing belts offer reliable transmission capabilities. Pulleys with a nylon coating can be fitted with PAZ on the toothed side and PAR on the reverse. Various coatings can be applied to the reverse side to address different applications. We can also mount carriers on the reverse side to handle various pulling tasks.
It is possible to assemble an open timing belt into a welded timing belt of your desired length using a melting tool.
