Self-supporting timing belts are also used in packaging applications and for various conveying and automation tasks. The timing belts are available in all lengths, and the support elements can be positioned according to the required intervals. The support elements are always chemically welded to ensure that no visible ridge forms at the joint where bacteria could accumulate and multiply. Even with tight tolerances, we can precisely position the drive pin on the timing belt (with metal teeth) by milling the existing tooth and replacing it with a metal one. As shown in the image below, you can choose the material for your drive pins, such as steel, aluminum, stainless steel, POM, etc. This makes it easy to replace damaged profiles without having to replace the entire timing belt.
