The belt tension meter , also known as a frequency meter , is a measuring tool used to ensure the correct tension when installing new timing belts in your machines.
It was developed to check the tension in drive belts and timing belts by measuring the frequency. The PIX Digital Tension Meter is a device used to monitor drive belt tension by measuring frequency. This product offers universal applications in machine construction, both in the automotive industry and in other technical machinery. The TT Mini can even be used easily in hard-to-reach places. The PIX Digital Tension Meter can be used for V-belts, ribbed belts (poly-V belts), and timing belts. Checking the tension is quick and easy.
User manual:
- Plug the microphone into the device either directly or via an extension cable. Switch the device to "ON".
- The symbols "A & M" appear. ("M" is not displayed if the microphone is not connected).
- Position the microphone head directly above or along the side belt under tension at the center of your belt drive and allow the timing belt to vibrate.
- Belt tension measurement begins as soon as a constant frequency is reached. This is indicated by the LED in the corner of the "ON" switch. The result is displayed in Hz on the LCD screen.
- The symbol "A" on the display is replaced by numbers between "1" and "4". The number represents the number of successful attempts. If "E" is displayed after the number, this means that one of the measurements was outside the tolerance range.
- If "1" or "E" is displayed, it is strongly recommended to repeat the measurement until "A" appears on the display again.
- The value on the display must be compared with the theoretical (calculated) frequency (Hz). The belt tension should be adjusted according to the measurement result, and the measurement repeated until the calculated value is reached.
- The display remains visible for two minutes, after which the device switches off automatically. To restart the device, press the "ON" button.
