Megadyne Isoran® RPP Silver rubber timing belts are reinforced with fiberglass and feature a nylon fabric covering on the toothed side. The belt is endless and has no joint. The standard SLV8 profile is a timing belt with millimeter tooth pitch and cup-shaped teeth. Timing belts are an essential component of many machines today. They are primarily used for power transmission. A timing belt is best described as a belt with cast-in teeth on the inside that secure the belt's position in the pulley. Using an SLV8 profile timing belt allows you to build a belt drive with highly precise synchronous characteristics. Megadyne Isoran RPP Silver is a timing belt with enhanced properties, giving it approximately 100% higher tensile strength than a standard HTD or RPP timing belt.
