Megadyne Megalinear - Open PU Timing Belts in XH Profile.
We carry a wide selection of open XH profile timing belts with inch pitch. These belts are manufactured from durable 92 ShA thermoplastic polyurethane and feature strong reinforcement in steel, Kevlar, or stainless steel. XH profiles have a tooth pitch of 22.225 millimeters, which indicates the metric distance between each tooth. XH profiles are available in standard widths of 100, 150, 200, 300, 400, and 600 inches, which corresponds to 25.4, 38.1, 50.8, 76.2, 101.6, and 152.4 millimeters, respectively. Other widths can be manufactured upon request.
XH profile timing belts ensure high efficiency, performance, and precision, thanks to their wide trapezoidal tooth profile and a recess between the teeth, which increases the belt's flexibility and tensile strength. XH profiles are specifically designed for power transmission and heavy-duty applications. Open XH profiles can be advantageously equipped with a nylon coating on the teeth or belt backing, reducing friction and noise and improving driving characteristics.
An open XH timing belt can be assembled into an endless timing belt with the desired dimensions, either mechanically or by welding the belts together. The timing belt can be welded using a finger joint, or you can purchase your own welding equipment and weld the belt yourself. Alternatively, you can have the timing belt mechanically assembled with a bolted connection, allowing you to mount the timing belt directly to the application.
