Megadyne Megalinear - Open L-Profile PU Timing Belts.
We carry a wide selection of open L-profile timing belts with inch pitch. These belts are manufactured from durable 92 ShA thermoplastic polyurethane and feature strong reinforcement in steel, Kevlar, or stainless steel. L-profile belts have a tooth pitch of 9.525 millimeters, which indicates the metric distance between each tooth. L-profile belts are available in standard widths of 0.37, 0.50, 0.75, 100, 150, 200, and 400 inches, corresponding to 9.53, 12.7, 19.05, 25.4, 38.1, 50.8, and 101.6 millimeters, respectively. Other widths can be manufactured upon request.
L-profile timing belts ensure high efficiency, performance, and precision due to their wide, trapezoidal tooth profile and the space between the teeth, which increases the belt's flexibility and tensile strength. L-profile belts are specifically designed for power transmission and medium-duty transport applications. Open L-profile belts can be advantageously coated with nylon on the teeth or the belt backing, reducing friction and noise and improving driving characteristics.
An open L-shaped timing belt can be assembled into an endless timing belt with your desired dimensions, either mechanically or by welding the belts together. The timing belt can be welded using a finger joint, or you can purchase your own welding equipment and weld the belt yourself. Alternatively, you can have the timing belt mechanically assembled with a pin joint, allowing you to mount the timing belt directly to the application.
