Megadyne Megalinear - Open PU Timing Belts in XL Profile.
We carry a wide range of open timing belts in XL profile with inch pitch. These belts are manufactured from durable thermoplastic polyurethane 92 ShA and feature strong reinforcement in steel, Kevlar, or stainless steel. XL profiles have a tooth pitch of 5.08 millimeters, which indicates the metric distance between each tooth. XL profiles are available in standard widths of 0.25, 0.37, 0.50, 0.75, 100, 150, and 200 inches, corresponding to 6.35, 9.53, 12.7, 19.05, 25.4, 38.1, and 50.8 millimeters, respectively. Other widths can be manufactured upon request.
XL profile timing belts ensure high efficiency, performance, and precision thanks to their wide, trapezoidal tooth profile and the space between each tooth, which increases the belt's flexibility and tensile strength. XH profiles are particularly suitable for power transmission and the transport of light to medium-weight loads. Open XL profiles can be advantageously equipped with a nylon coating on the teeth or the belt backing, reducing friction and noise and improving driving characteristics.
An open XL timing belt can be assembled into an endless timing belt with your desired dimensions, either mechanically or by welding the individual belts together. The timing belt can be welded by hand, or you can purchase your own welding equipment and weld it yourself. Alternatively, you can have the timing belt mechanically assembled with bolt connections, allowing you to mount it directly on the application.
